About the Artist

Coming from a strong lineage of makers, growers, foragers and adventurers, Natalie is a mother, community advocate and volunteer, who on the side, finds time to run a small family business in her unique community of Masset, Haida Gwaii. With great respect and gratitude, her family honours the opportunity to do so within the un-ceded traditional and territorial Land, Air and Waters of the Haida People.
Inspired by the natural beauty of these magical surroundings, Islandwise was created to offer a line of handcrafted soap and skincare products that reflect the diversity of sights, smells and experiences of Haida Gwaii and the North Coast. Natalie takes pride in making beautiful, effective products with simple plant-based ingredients and compostable or re-useble packaging, and invites you on a journey of the senses – a nurturing retreat for the world-weary soul, invoked by the rambling beaches and misty forests of Haida Gwaii.
