About the Artist

Kate Cope is a talented artist and craftsperson based in Prince Rupert, B.C. Born in Liverpool, England. Kate moved to Canada in 1981 and has since called the West Coast home. She has studied millinery at Mabel Fletcher Technical College and has been making and selling her creative designs – including hats, bags, knitwear and soft sculpture dolls for many years. Kate has enjoyed knitting since she was seven years old and has created baby clothes for the Prince Rupert Hospital Auxiliary for over two decades.

Her hats, with handmade embellishments, are crafted to fit infants and adults alike. Kate’s creative and whimsical designs showcase her skill and passion for her craft.
